David Jahoda

Senior Counsel

Corporate & Commercial

David is a Senior Counsel in Druces’ Corporate & Commercial Department. He specialises in equity capital markets (ECM) and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) transactions in the UK, across the EMEA region and worldwide. In particular, he advises banks, issuers and selling shareholders on a wide range of ECM transactions, including IPOs, rights issues and other secondary capital raisings, private placements, accelerated bookbuild transactions, other securities transactions (including global depositary receipts), demergers, share buybacks and convertible bonds.

In addition, he advises on public and private M&A transactions, debt capital markets (DCM) transactions, as well as listed clients on their legal and regulatory obligations, corporate governance and other corporate matters.

David trained and gained post qualification experience at a magic circle firm in London for more than eight years and also worked at London offices of international law firms. Between 2020 and 2021 he held a senior legal role within the equity capital markets/M&A legal team at HSBC in London where he gained significant commercial experience advising on complex ECM, Equity-linked and M&A transactions. In 2015 he spent eight months on secondment in the ECM execution team at Credit Suisse in London.

David has worked across various sectors, in particular financial institutions, technology, media and telecom, natural resources, mining and energy, and consumer (incl. hotels and hospitality) sectors.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and travelling.
