James is a Solicitor in the Construction team at Druces.
Having completed his LLB at the University of Leeds, James joined the firm in March 2024 and qualified in March 2026. Working alongside Partner and Head of Construction, Richard Bailey, James provides strategic legal support across the full project lifecycle.
His practice is split between:
Non-contentious Construction: Drafting and negotiating complex contract suites and professional appointments for developers and contractors. This includes document management and the drafting of collateral warranties and other contract documents.
Contentious Construction: Advising on both domestic and international disputes. James supports clients through the resolution of claims via adjudication and litigation, from initial contract reviews to final settlement.
In addition to his specialist construction work, James is a keen golfer and footballer.
