On 4 December 2019, our Real Estate Finance Team will be giving a breakfast update on a couple of issues of importance to real estate lenders: Roof and Airspace developments and Tenants’ Rights of first refusal (S.5 Landlord and Tenant Act 1987). The briefing will examine these issues primarily from the perspective of the lender but the briefing is open to all property professionals

About your hosts:
Suzanne Middleton Lindsley, Druces LLP: Suzanne Middleton Lindsley is a Partner in the Real Estate team. She has broad experience in commercial property but notably in investment, development and property finance. She has experience in dealing with Sharia’a compliant transactions.
Simon Pullen, Druces LLP: Simon is a banking and finance Partner, with over 30 years’ extensive experience, acting for bank lenders, borrowers and investors and has a particular focus on real estate acquisition and development finance. He has a proven track record in the banking sector having acted for high profile names in the sector including Nat West, RBS, Coutts, Santander, AIB, HBOS, Nationwide and a variety of US banks.
Charles Spragge, Druces LLP: Charles Spragge, head of our Banking & Finance Group will chair the briefing. He is a commercial disputes and finance Partner experienced in advising and acting for businesses, banks, financial institutions, government entities, and corporates as well as directors and shareholders. He has particular expertise in transactions involving international trade and trade finance He is a solicitor-advocate (civil), a member of the LCIA, the ICC, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an accredited mediator.
Benjamin Lomer, Druces LLP: Benjamin Lomer is a Senior Associate in Druces LLP’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. He has wide experience in dealing with both property litigation and commercial litigation matters. Ben acts for both landlords and tenants of commercial property and he specialises in advising on commercial lease renewal, terminations and dealing with associated notices and Court proceedings.
